Qualifying 1

Trouble for Bezzecchi

Qualifying didn’t start off well for Bezzecchi. The Aprilia rider crashed at Turn 3 and brought up yellow flags. Although he was one of the contenders for Q2, he had to return to the paddock on foot.

Quartararo, another strong contender, had his own moment. He ran off at Turn 16. He managed to stay upright and returned to the pits for a tyre change. At that point, the Frenchman was leading the session with a time of 1:47.078, which would have seen him through to Q2.

Provisional Top 5

Di Giannantonio held the second place. Just behind, Rins was third, just 0.073s off his teammate. Fernandez and Miller followed, rounding up the top 5.

Bezzecchi rejoined the session but returned to the pits after one lap with a torn race suit. He would have risked a black flag had he stayed out. After a quick change, he managed just one flying lap, placing him ahead of only Chantra.

Q2 Advancers

With just moments to go, Di Giannantonio improved to a 1:46.610, topping the session. He advanced to Q2 along with Quartararo, who was two tenths slower. Row 5 will see Fernandez, Miller and Rins.

Qualifying 2

Marc Sets The Target

From the very start, Marc Márquez looked untouchable. At the halfway point of the 15-minute session, he led the field with a 1:45.986, two tenths ahead of his brother Alex Márquez in P2. KTM confirmed its pace with Acosta third, just ahead of teammate Binder in fourth. Morbidelli sat fifth, with Quartararo in sixth.

Bagnaia Struggles

Meanwhile, Bagnaia was visibly struggling. He was in last place with no signs of improvement. After pitting, he was the first Ducati driver back on the track.

Marc Márquez stole the show again. With two minutes to go, he set a new track record of 1:45.704, securing yet another pole position for the season and ending Quartararo’s run of pole victories.

Alex Márquez and Morbidelli will line up alongside him on the front row. Row 2 will feature Bagnaia, Acosta and Binder. Quartararo ended the session 0.737 seconds off the pole time.
