For the first time, the World Endurance Championship is heading to Barcelona, Spain. Previously, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has hosted the 2019 Prologue for the series, but this marks its first full endurance race. Drivers face six hours of racing around the 2.984-mile, 14 turn track.
It’s the penultimate round of the championship. Currently, the No. 8 Toyota Racing leads the Hypercar championship, ten points ahead of its sister car. In LMGT3, the No. 33 TF Sport leads the standings ahead of the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team. With two rounds left, these standings could look drastically different following today’s race.
