Marc Márquez tops MotoGP FP2 in mixed conditions. Even with a crash at the end of the session, no one could top the Ducati rider. Jorge Martín came in second just 0.2 seconds slower, with Fermín Aldeguer in third.
After practice yesterday, it was Pedro Acosta who was fastest at KTM’s home circuit. He was also fastest in the morning practice session. He was 0.127 seconds faster than Aldeguer, with the returning Ai Ogura in third. For the main riders in the championship, it was a mixed day with M. Márquez in fourth, Martín in fifth, and Marco Bezzecchi in ninth.

Start of session:
As the lights went green at the end of the pit lane, not all the riders rushed out onto the circuit. After the track had been wet all morning and very cold, riders were trying to figure out the constantly changing conditions before qualifying started.
After the first 10 minutes of the session, only seven riders had been out onto the circuit. The fastest was Raúl Fernández with Honda’s test rider Takaaki Nakagami just behind. With the last 15 minutes of the session, more riders started coming out onto the circuit, as Francesco Bagnaia set the fastest time.
Last Five Minutes
With the last five minutes of this very slow session, all 22 riders were out on track. M. Márquez and Martín were the two fastest riders on track, with 0.2 seconds separating them.
With less than a minute to go M. Márquez crashed at turn one, not what he wanted going into qualifying. He managed to get the bike started and rode it back round to pitlane.
Even with the crash, M. Márquez was still fastest ahead of Martín and Aldeguer. All the riders were about a second off the pace we would expect given the conditions.
