After the drama of F3’s Sprint Race the F2 Sprint Race was expected to follow the chaos and it did, to some degree, with two Safety Car periods. Joshua Dürksen was able to battle to the front in a dominant display to take his seventh F2 win.

The Start of the Race

John Bennett started the delayed Sprint Race from pole. Several drivers locked up into Turn 1 but everyone was able to get through unscathed.

On Lap 2, Nikola Tsolov began his charge while the battle for first position began to get more intense. Tasanpol Inthraphuvasak and Joshua Dürksen were fighting for position.

On Lap 5, a yellow flag was called as Rafael Câmara spun and had come to a stop on track. At the same time, Laurens Van Hoepen and Gabriele Minì went wide.

Racing Resumes and a Second Safety Car

When racing resumed, Dürksen was immediately on the charge and took the lead of the race in Lap 9.

Several battles took place across the race until Lap 17 when Roman Bilinski spun and came to a stop on track.

Racing resumed on Lap 20 for a two-lap shootout in which many drivers jostled for position until Dürksen crossed the line in first followed by Bennett and Oliver Goethe.
