Ahead of the Aragón Grand Prix, more pieces of the 2027 MotoGP puzzle were falling into place. After SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team solidified their lineup, another team followed suit. Now, we know who will be racing alongside Toprak Razgatlıoğlu at Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP. Australian Jack Miller will depart at the end of the year, making way for Moto2 rider Izan Guevara.

Miller Departs

Jack Miller is set to depart Prima Pramac at the end of 2026. Following a second-place finish in the 2014 Moto3 World Championship, 2015 saw him leapfrog Moto2 and head straight to MotoGP. His debut year saw him with CWM LCR Honda, and he remained with the manufacturer for three years. He spent most of his career with Ducati, initially with Pramac Racing before spending two years in the Ducati Lenovo Factory Team.

Following his time with Ducati, where he achieved three wins and 21 podiums, he joined Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. 2025 saw him head back to Pramac, joining Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP when they switched manufacturers. His first year saw him paired with Miguel Oliveira, and 2026 sees him with rookie Toprak Razgatlıoğlu.

The Australian is known by the nickname ‘Thriller-Miller’, accounting for his aggressive riding style producing thrilling and exciting on-track action. It is believed that with his departure from the team, he will also depart MotoGP as well after 11 years in the series.

Prima Pramac Add Another Rookie in 2027

Prima Pramac have a long history in MotoGP, hailing back to 1999. 2002, however, was their debut year known as Pramac, rebranding from the original d’Antin MotoGP. They have always been a satellite team, and their most success has come from using Ducati machinery. Years of progress paid off when they won the Team’s Championship in 2023, followed by the Driver’s Championship in 2024.

Since 2025, they use Yamaha machinery. Aiming to aid Yamaha in their progression, Prima Pramac have now announced their 2027 lineup. Alongside Toprak Razgatlıoğlu will be Moto2 title contender, Izan Guevara.

“We’re very pleased to confirm Izan Guevara and Toprak Razgatlıoğlu as our rider line-up for 2027. Izan has earned this opportunity through the progress and commitment he has shown in Moto2, and his promotion reflects exactly what this project was created to achieve: developing young talent within the Yamaha family and preparing the riders of the future.

At the same time, having Toprak continue with us for another year gives the team an important foundation. He will enter the season with valuable MotoGP experience already behind him, and we are confident that continuity, together with the work Yamaha is doing on the new project, will allow us to take another significant step forward. We believe this line-up combines youth, talent and experience, and represents the right direction for the future of Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP.”
~ Gino Borsoi, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP’s Team Director.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu

He may be new to MotoGP in 2026, but Razgatlıoğlu is far from a rookie. Before joining the series, he raced in World SuperBikes for eight years and achieved three championships. He sits just behind Johnathon Rea and Carl Fogarty, and equals Troy Bayliss for the most amount of WSBK titles. The Turkish rider also boasts 78 wins and 143 podiums to his name.

Taking the unconventional route into MotoGP, he signed a two-year deal with Prima Pramac, meaning he’ll remain with them in 2027. His rookie year hasn’t seen his best as he battles the Yamaha YZR-M1. Despite a lack of speed from his bike, Razgatlıoğlu has been incredibly consistent, only retiring from one race and often making up positions from where he started. As the season has progressed, so has he.

Izan Guevara

Prima Pramac also race in Moto2 as the Blu Cru Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team. This year, they currently sit third in the standings, and one of their riders, Izan Guevara, is in the title fight. So it is no surprise that this is the rider who will line up alongside Razgatlıoğlu next year.

Guevara won a range of junior series in his youth, before joining Moto3 in 2021. His first year was impressive, taking a maiden win in his rookie campaign. However, his second year was when he shone. Taking seven race wins and 12 podiums, he became the 2022 Moto3 Driver’s Champion. Since 2023, the Spaniard has been in Moto2, and each year has seen him progress.

His focus on the whole race, tyre management, and calculated moves make Guevara a thoughtful rider. His composure under pressure to bring results makes him standout. Currently, he sits second in the championship, just behind Manuel González. He has one win this year, but his consistency is what has brought him into the mix. Now, no matter how the rest of the season falls, he is set to achieve his goal and reach MotoGP.

MotoGP is Almost Set for 2027.

With this announcement, few seats remain. Luca Marini and Fermín Aldeguer have also revealed where they’ll be riding in 2027. Consequently, only three places remain. Honda are yet to announce where David Alonso will be riding, or who will be their fourth rider. Similarly, neither Red Bull KTM Tech3 and Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing have said who will be completing their teams.

The MotoGP grid is shaping up for 2027 and currently sees three rookies making the step up. Switches are being made across the field, leading to an interesting grid as we head into a new era. For Prima Pramac, Razgatlıoğlu advances from a rookie, and they welcome a new one in his place. Both have experience racing on Pirelli tyres, but will that give the team an advantage when the new season starts? As for Miller, he looks ahead to a new chapter in his career.
