Heading into the summer break, MotoGP teams started to announce who would race in 2027. However, recent weeks have seen this quiet down. Ahead of the British Grand Prix, SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team shared that Raúl Fernández would remain with the team. Now, Enea Bastianini is set to take the second seat.
SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team Continues to Improve
2026 has seen Trackhouse MotoGP fly to the top of the standings, challenging for pole positions and race wins most rounds. Having only been on the grid since 2024, their development has proven impressive, making clear strides each year. Being a satellite team, they benefit from Aprilia’s engine and help develop for the factory team. This partnership has paid off. With clear growth, they are solidifying their position as a promising team to drive for.
But, with Ai Ogura departing for Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, a spot opened up at Aprilia’s satellite team. It has now been announced that Fernández will be joined by Bastianini.

Raúl Fernández Stays
After making his way through Moto3 and Moto2, culminating in a runner-up spot in the latter in his final year, Fernández joined the MotoGP grid in 2022. His rookie campaign saw the Spaniard at Tech3 KTM Factory Racing. It was a slow rookie campaign, but he showed growth, gaining more points towards the end of the year. For 2023, he switched over to Crypto RNF MotoGP Team. Here, he achieved his first top ten finish, but retirements plagued his season.
He remained with the outfit when they became Trackhouse in 2024. Having been with this team since their debut, he’s been paramount in helping them develop. Their debut year saw more consistent results, showing a glimpse of what could come. Partnering with Ai Ogura for 2025, the pairing pushed the team even further. Last year, Fernández clinched a maiden victory for both him and Trackhouse in Australia.
2026 has proven fruitful for the pairing, being their best outing yet. Currently, Fernández sits sixth in the standings and has helped the team climb to second in the team’s championship battle. With two sprint victories, a feature race win, the rider is on a streak of podium finishes. Considering their success together, he will remain with the team through 2028.

Enea Bastianini Joins
Italian rider Enea Bastianini saw plenty of success across Moto3 and Moto2. Picking up six wins and 32 podiums throughout the categories, he eventually became the 2020 Moto2 World Champion. Following his title, he joined former Ducati satellite team, Avintia Esponsorama Racing for 2021. Showing pace and wheel-to-wheel talent, he then headed to Gresini Racing MotoGP the following year.
His brief stint with Gresini impressed, taking four wins, six podiums, and a pole position. Because of this, Ducati moved him to their factory team: Ducati Lenovo Team. Although 2023 was marred by injuries, 2024 saw him in the championship fight. He ultimately lost out, finishing fourth. This saw Ducati hire Marc Márquez for 2025 and Bastianini headed to Red Bull KTM Tech3.
His time with KTM has been harder, as he battles with the reliability of the engine. Despite the results being less than ideal, Bastinini continues to show his talent when racing. But he is now set for a new challenge, signing with Trackhouse on a two-year deal.

MotoGP in 2027 Continues to Take Shape
With this announcement, Trackhouse become the seventh team to complete their 2027 lineup. The new regulation era of MotoGP will see the team have two proven race winners. Both drivers have shown their talent both on track and behind the scenes, and this will be utilised to help them continue their development.
Three teams, both Honda teams and Prima Pramac, are yet to fill their final seat. Whilst David Alonso is confirmed with Honda, we wait to see which team he’ll head to. However, KTM Tech3 and Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing are yet to announce any drivers. Consequently, six spots remain with seven drivers to be confirmed. As we face a new era of MotoGP, teams are looking to get the strongest lineups possible. One more team is complete, who will be next?
