Noel León has won hist first F2 Feature Race of the season after battling his way up through the field and beating pole-sitter Kush Maini.

The Start of F2’s Feature Race

Before the race had started, Roman Bilinski was unable to start the Formation Lap and had to be pushed to the pit lane. Thankfully he was able to start the Feature Race.

Maini started from pole and was able to maintain his lead until Lap 22. However, second-place starter Rafael Câmara was unable to keep his second place and dropped down the order.

Further back, there was contact between John Bennett and Martinius Stenshorne with the former hitting the side of the Rodin.

A brief yellow flag was flown on Lap 2. However, 15 laps later another yellow flag was displayed as Rafael Villagómez had stopped on track.

A Virtual Safety Car was shown on the same lap.

Colton Herta was handed a 10-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage on Lap 19.

The Final Battles

Nine laps later, F2 title contenders Nikola Tsolov and Gabriele Minì battled hard.

ART Grand Prix’s Tasanpol Inthraphuvasak was jostling for position with Joshua Dürksen on Lap 31.

Alex Dunne lead the race for a significant amount of laps but was forced to take his mandatory pit stop and suffered a huge lock-up as he entered the pit lane.

On Lap 37, León crossed the line to win and was joined on the podium by Maini in second and Câmara in third.
