Formula Three has returned to Spa however, none of the 30 drivers emerged onto track until over 10 minutes of practice had passed. When the first F3 drivers emerged onto track, many were quick off the mark.

Early Times

Fionn McLaughlin was the first driver to get a time on the board, setting a 2:24.218. Woohyun Shin was next to go fastest, shaving over five seconds off of McLaughlin’s time.

Jin Nakamura went fastest next before Théophile Naël was able to go over 10 seconds faster.

Yevan David and Alessandro Giusti shot to the top of the times before Freddie Slater and Tuukka Taponen went fastest.

The F3 Final Laps

Slater set the fastest time of the session, a 2:06.311 before every driver returned to the pit lane.

The drivers emerged back onto track with eight minutes left on the clock and several drivers set personal best lap times.

In the final minutes of practice, there was significant traffic which meant that several drivers were unable to set a final time which may indicate how the final qualifying runs will go.

Slater’s 2:06.311 was able to secure him the fastest time. Naël and Maciej Gładysz were second and third fastest.

Qualifying will take place at 15:00 local time.
