Goethe Sets the Pace in Disrupted F2 Practice Session

As soon as he emerged onto the track, Oliver Goethe looked comfortable. He set a time of 1:16.978 which was unable to be beaten by any other driver in the F2 practice session.

It was Roman Bilinski who was first to set a notable time of 1:29.666. Noel León was the next to set a time with a 1:29.312.

Bilinksi returned to the top, setting a time of 1:17.916 before being beaten to the top by Sebastian Montoya (1:17.758), Gabriele Minì (1:18.384), Nikola Tsolov (1:17.228) and Oliver Goethe who was the first driver to set a time in the 1:16’s.

With 26 minutes left on the clock, Cian Shields spun and went off causing a yellow flag.

The yellow flag then became a red flag, pausing F2’s practice session.

At 11:27 local time the practice session resumed but no driver could come close to Goethe’s time.

Mari Boya had a minor off, running through the gravel and with 30 seconds left, Alex Dunne went off track.

F2 Qualifying will take place at 15:55 local time,
