Qualifying for the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Spa delivered plenty of surprises ahead of Saturday’s race. Malthe Jakobsen starred with a breakthrough pole for Peugeot TotalEnergies. Here are the key talking points from qualifying in Belgium:

  • One hour in and the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team Jota leads Hyperclass.
  • In LMGT3, polesitter #78 Akkodis ASP Team remains in the lead.
  • The #77 Proton Competition brought out the first safety car early on getting stranded in the gravel at Turn 15.
