Edoardo Mortara produced a commanding lap to secure pole position for Mahindra Racing, edging out Porsche Formula E Team’s home favourite Pascal Wehrlein. With both drivers bringing experience and contrasting pressures into the race, the front row set the stage for an intense opening phase.
Explosive Opening Laps
At lights out, Mortara launched cleanly to retain the lead, while Oliver Rowland surged past Wehrlein to claim second. The tightly packed field wasted no time settling into wheel-to-wheel combat, with minimal gaps across the order. By Lap 4, Mortara still led, but the field remained compressed within seconds. Nick Cassidy soon emerged as a contender, moving into second before Rowland struck back on Lap 5 to take the lead in a decisive early move.
Lap 6 saw Zane Maloney complete a remarkable climb from seventh on the grid to first, while Maximilian Günther and Lucas di Grassi carved through the field with equally impressive progress.

Cassidy surged to the front by Lap 9, only for di Grassi to deliver one of the standout moments of the race a lap later — rising from nineteenth on the grid to seize the lead. Despite the relentless pace, no driver had yet activated ATTACK MODE by Lap 15, keeping the entire field tightly bunched and strategically poised.
The introduction of pit strategies on Lap 20 triggered a decisive phase. Cassidy and several frontrunners opted to pit, allowing Rowland to cycle into the lead. By Lap 24, further stops — including Maloney’s — reshuffled the podium picture. Rowland maintained track position through the chaos, emerging as a key contender as the field split across strategies.
As the race entered its closing stages, Nico Müller emerged as a central figure. Activating ATTACK MODE, he surged into the lead by Lap 29 and immediately established the fastest lap, signalling a decisive shift in momentum. Behind him, a wave of drivers deployed their own ATTACK MODE in response, setting up a multi-car battle for the remaining podium positions. Despite the pressure, Müller managed his pace and energy with precision, extending his advantage as rivals fought among themselves.
Controlled Finish Seals Victory
In the final laps, Müller demonstrated complete control. Building a gap of over four seconds, he neutralised any late challenge while maintaining a strong energy margin. Behind him, Cassidy, Rowland, and Mortara engaged in a tightly contested fight for the podium, separated by mere tenths. A late warning for Josep Maria Martí further highlighted the intensity of the midfield battles.
As the chequered flag fell, Müller secured a commanding victory for Porsche Formula E Team, completing a measured and opportunistic drive from sixth on the grid. Cassidy followed in second after a composed and strategic race, while Rowland held firm to claim third.
