With less than a month to go until the new MotoGP season starts in Thailand, we know the teams and riders, but what will their bikes look like? Over the past month, teams have been presenting their liveries for this year’s racing.
Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP
The first team to show their bike this year was Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP. The riders, Toprak Razgatıoğlu and Jack Miller, will ride the new Yamaha in a very similar livery to last year. This year’s bike is much brighter than last year’s, with the purples and blues standing out more. The chrome frame that pops out of the side, rather than the black one from last year, looks good. It makes it more noticeable on the grid.
Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team
Next, we went to Rome to see the launch of Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. With team owner Valentino Rossi and riders Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Gianantonio in attendance this year, people were excited to see what the Doctor’s team would deliver. The bike is the same idea as last year, but with black features instead of white. The bike is a reminder of the moon at night, which fits with the brand Rossi has created over the years.
Aprilia Racing
Aprilia Racing was next to reveal its 2026 machine. The bike that Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín will be racing this year is very similar to last year’s, with the same livery. One noticeable difference from this year’s bike is on the side panel, where they make the final A in Aprilia look like a lion’s head. While it has the same livery, it does feature a lot more aerodynamics. Are they ready to fight for the championship this year?
Ducati Lenovo Team
Ducati Lenovo Team celebrated its centenary with a retro-looking livery for 2026. Last year’s World Champion, Marc Márquez, and Francesco Bagnaia will be on bikes reminiscent of what Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner rode in the 2000s. White features throughout the bike and leathers help break up the sea of red, which I expect to dominate this season.
Monster Energy Yamaha Team
This year, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP has a brand new bike to play with as their V4-powered M1 joins the grid with Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins behind the bars. As always, this bike livery looks the same as last year. The iconic blue-and-black bike now features white stripes, which I think make it look sleeker.
Trackhouse MotoGP Team
Trackhouse MotoGP Team unveiled a double livery reveal for riders Raúl Fernández and Ai Ogura. The traditional blue, black, and yellow design. This year, thin yellow lines run throughout the bike, making it look more streamlined than last year. Alongside this, they have brought back their Gulf livery, which will be used in five rounds this season: Thailand, Brazil, Italy, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Red Bull KTM Tech3
As always, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Red Bull KTM Tech3 bikes have stayed the same. As always, the bike has stayed the same with the Red Bull sponsorship all over both teams’ bikes. The factory bike has stayed the same with Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder. While the rider lineup at Tech 3 has remained the same with Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini, the owners have changed, with Guenther Steiner at the helm.
BK8 Gresini Racing
Out with the silver, and in with the black for BK8 Gresini Racing in 2026. Álex Márquez and Fermín Aldeguer stay on board the blue Ducati for 2026. Aside from the shift from silver to black, the bike hasn’t changed much from last year’s livery.
LCR Honda
The LCR Honda squad, with Johann Zarco and rookie Diogo Moreira, run two separate liveries for each rider. Zarco’s Castrol-sponsored bike is an evolution of last year’s, with some blue added. The bike features more wings than last year, which changes the overall look rather than the colour.
Moreira, with the new look Pro Honda bike, looks more like a traditional factory Honda bike than it ever has before. After IDEMITSU stopped sponsoring the team at the end of last year, we knew we would be getting a new look. The bike does look nice, with the bright red contrasting with the white.
Honda HRC Castrol Team
The final bike to release their bike was the Honda HRC Castrol Team. Joan Mir and Luca Marini will be riding the bike, which looks very similar to last year’s machine. Like the LCR bikes, the Hondas feature more wings than last year. While this is the last year of these regulations, this manufacturer is still working to achieve the maximum aerodynamics possible.
As we expected, there are minor changes to all of the bikes. However, there is enough difference from last year to make it refreshing as we go into the new season. Are you excited for Lights Out in Thailand?
