With over 200 victories and a hall of fame for some of the biggest names in motorsport, the ART Grand Prix is one of the most sought-after teams to join. With some new and old faces joining the grid for the 2026 season, the teams are eager to start. They’re coming back full force, especially after their difficult 2025 season.
In Formula 2, they were eighth in the championship. Driver Ritomo Miyata gained a maiden podium finish in Spa-Francorchamps and gained 18 points during his 2025 season. This was the Japanese driver’s second season in Formula 2. Driver Victor Martins claimed his first feature race win for the 2025 season and gained 25 points in the drivers’ standings. This was the French driver’s third year in Formula 2.
In Formula 3, they were fourth in the teams’ championship. Drivers Tuukka Taponen, Laurens Van Hoepen and James Wharton had a year of hard work and learning. They each gained points throughout the season. Driver James Wharton celebrated his first F3 win during the 2025 season. There are only five seats available, so who will be the French team’s drivers?
Two Journeys, One Team
Both drivers joining the team for Formula 2 are new faces. One is new to the team, the other is taking the next step in their career.
Kush Maini
Having previously raced with DAMS Lucas Oil and securing a sprint win in Monaco in 2025, ART Grand Prix are taking Maini on for his fourth season in Formula 2. His consistency and experience will make the Indian racing driver a strong contender for the 2026 season. He has previously taken on two wins, 5 pole positions and multiple podiums across previous campaigns. He will also continue to be a reserve driver for Formula 1 team, Alpine and Formula E team, Mahindra Racing.
Tasanapol ‘Tern’ Inthraphuvasak
The Thai racing driver is stepping up to Formula 2 after a strong and consistent season with Campos Racing in Formula 3. Inthraphuvasak helped Campos Racing secure their first Teams Championship title in FIA F3. He gained three wins and showed a strong presence at the front of the field. With his steady performance in Formula 3, we can expect to see big things from Inthraphuvasak. He will be one to watch in the 2026 season.
The two drivers will be joining the team with differing levels of experience, and their performances will be observed closely when the lights go out.
Moving through the ranks
All three drivers for the Formula 3 team continue their ascent through the ranks. They might be new faces, but they know their way around. With impressive talent and skills, all eyes are on the drivers for the 2026 season.
Maciej Gładysz
The Polish racing driver will be joining the Formula 3 team for his first season. He is an accomplished driver with remarkable skill. Gładysz was third place in the Spanish F4 Championship and was victorious in the 2025 Spanish Winter Cup series Eurocup-3. His rapid rise to Formula 3 is a clear reflection of his talent. He is set to embark on his third season of single-seater racing, so he will be a key name to watch.
Kanato Le
Kanato Le will be graduating into a higher category with the ART Grand Prix team in 2026. The Japanese driver has many notable accomplishments with the French team. He was 14th in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, 8th in the Formula Regional Middle Eastern Championship and 11th at the Macau Grand Prix. He has shown development and growth within his career. Each milestone reached is something else to add to his growing list of accomplishments.
Taito Kato
The Japanese driver will be embarking on his journey in Formula 3 in 2026. Previously, Kato was crowned the 2024 French F4 Champion and had a promising campaign in Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. He is one of the most exciting drivers to watch. His consistency and development throughout his career is truly remarkable. He is taking another major step forward in his career this year.
The Formula 3 team is an exciting and talented bunch. There will be new things to learn for each driver, but with their past accomplishments, they shouldn’t have too much of a problem adjusting.
A list of truly talented drivers will be piloting the ART Grand Prix race cars for 2026. There will be expectations and hope. The team will surely be hoping for a better 2026 season.
