Porsche has confirmed rising German talent Janina Schall for the upcoming Formula E All-Women’s Test in Valencia on 31 October.
The 20-year-old from Swabia, Germany, is currently studying automotive engineering. The Formula E Test will be her first opportunity behind the wheel of a Formula E car as she joins the Stuttgart team for the one-day programme.
Karting Roots and Rapid Development
Schall began karting in 2013 with MSC Al-Corsa. With the team she collected an impressive run of titles and podiums across regional and national championships, including Bavarian Vice-Champion, Swabian Champion, and multiple successes in the Südbayerische ADAC Meisterschaft.
Progressing to kart endurance racing, she became a four-time Junior Champion (2020–2023) in the German Team Championship (GTC) with the ADAC Junior Team Südbayern. In 2024, she represented Team Germany at the FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, finishing 10th in Kart Endurance.
Climbing the Racing Ladder
Schall made her touring car debut in 2023, competing in the Rennsport Club Nürburgring with a Porsche Cayman V5. She continued in the class throughout 2024, also joining the Girls Only by WS Racing programme. There Schall secured second place at NLS 3 and a class victory at NLS 6.
Her most notable success to date came with a sports car win at the Nürburgring in 2024. This year she added another podium to this success.
Schall has been competing full-time in GT4 machinery this year on the Nordschleife. She was able to earn multiple class victories and claim the Ladies Trophy title in NLS 2025.
A Homegrown Porsche Prospect
With her experience racing Porsche and BMW machinery on the world-famous Eifel circuit paired with her automotive engineering studies, the German brings a strong developmental mindset into the simulator and onto the track.
Her participation in the Women’s Test offers a key step toward higher-level electric racing opportunities, strengthening Porsche’s future-focused talent pathway. Schall completes the manufacturer’s line-up for the Valencia Women’s Test as Porsche continues its commitment to supporting promising female drivers in the sport.
