Andretti have announced today that 22-year-old Nerea Martí will be participating in the Women’s Pre-Season Test in Valencia on October 31st.

Who is Nerea Martí?

Born in Valencia herself, Nerea Martí is quickly becoming a rising figure in the motorsport world. Her experience has taken her from the now-retired W Series, where she was the highest ranked-rookie in 2021, to F1 Academy, with a race win and multiple podiums under her belt.

In 2021, her success allowed her to be selected to test in Formula 3. This showed her diverse and wide experience within single seater series’. Her P4 finish in the 2024 F1 Academy season landed her in the BMW M Racing Academy programme.

Andretti and Martí Reunited

Martí is not a new face in Formula E. The Spaniard also took part in the season 11 women’s rookie test last year, where she impressed the team. Having gained valuable experience in that session, she will be keen to return to the hot seat. Andretti will be dedicating their resources to ensuring maximum development for her.

Andretti Global have prided themselves on their continued commitment to showcasing female talent across their programmes. In the past, they have worked with Danica Patrick, Jamie Chadwick and Chloe Chambers, who took part in the Women’s Test last season alongside Martí.

During the press release, team principal Roger Griffiths shared that the team were “very excited to welcome Martí back”. They expect her to “build upon her past experience on a track she knows very well”.
