With pre-season testing set to start next week, Mahindra Racing have confirmed Chloe Chambers as their driver for the upcoming All-Women’s Testing. It promises to be an exciting collaboration. Mahindra will benefit from a driver like Chloe — creative and sensible — while Chloe maximises on the opportunity to gain further experience outside of F1 Academy.

Who Is Chloe Chambers?

Formula E fans first met Chloe Chambers when she debuted in the electric cars in 2024. During the Women’s Test in Madrid, Chloe put timings on the sheet for Andretti Formula E. With much more time on track than a typical race day, Chambers was thankful to be able to experiment with the Gen3 car to identify its strengths and weaknesses.

She’s back and determined to replicate the same success for Mahindra Racing. It is no doubt that she will aim to showcase her potential. Her time with Andretti will give her a head start as she understands the Gen3 car. Next, she will seek unveiling what Mahindra need. Chambers reflected on her previous test, saying:

”It’s not a new car for me, but last year we only had half a day of running, so there are a lot of areas to still be improved upon and plenty of experience and knowledge to be gained.”Chloe Chambers

Heres How Mahindra Will Develop

With Chambers sitting in fourth place in the F1 Academy Championship, Mahindra have something special here. Season 11 proved Mahindra’s current developments are working well for them, finishing fourth in the teams’ championship. With experience in different series with different driving styles, Chambers’ versatility will aid Mahindra here.

Being in such a strong development group like the Red Bull Academy Programme, the 21-year-old is no stranger to precise and relevant feedback. With high standards in the programme, Chambers will be able to communicate critical feedback to the engineers despite the insights being subtle. This could keep the team in contention for the Season 12 title fight.

Inclusivity in the Team

Progression in this series is something that they take pride in. Inviting drivers like Chloe Chambers to the sport pushes the narrative that women, in fact, do belong in motorsport. Opportunities like these really do allow for female drivers to gain experience and also establish their presence to Formula E’s loyal fans.

Mahindra benefits here too. Being an American driver means that Chloe brings a new audience to the team. We are excited to see how this partnership works – on and off track. Here’s your reminder that the All-Women’s Testing will be on the 31st of October.
