F1 Academy Returns In Singapore With Excitement

1–2 minutes

Doriane Pin wasted no time stamping her authority on the streets of Singapore, going fastest in the only practice session ahead of this weekend’s F1 Academy action.

The French driver edged out fellow championship contender Maya Weug and Alisha Palmowski by less than a tenth in a tightly packed top three, as the field finally roared back into life after a long pause since Zandvoort.

Pin vs. Weug: The Title Fight Resumes

With just 20 points separating Pin and Weug heading into the weekend, all eyes were on the two front-runners. Weug stayed close to Pin throughout the session, while Palmowski quietly put together a strong lap to slot into third, setting a personal best late on as the track evolved.

The dry conditions offered a rare clean session in Singapore, but the narrow walls and high temperatures still created a highly challenging session.

Billard Shines in Wild Card Debut

Wildcard entrant Lisa Billard turned heads on her F1 Academy debut with a remarkable top-six performance. Despite a brief spin out of the final corner in one of her laps, the driver quickly recovered and kept her composure to stay in the mix. If there were nerves, they didn’t show. Billard’s raw pace and confidence hint at much more to come this weekend.

Early Exit for Ferreira, Nobels Steady in Seventh

Rafaela Ferreira’s session ended before it could properly begin. Smoke began pouring from her car on the opening lap, forcing her to pull off and step out without logging a competitive time. She’ll head into qualifying blind, without crucial track data in a weekend where every lap counts.

Elsewhere, Aurelia Nobels put together a clean and consistent session to finish seventh—quietly effective in a session that saw many finding the limits. Chloe Chambers also delivered a solid run, showing steady form as the grid tightens up heading into Saturday.

Challenging Conditions Ahead

With just one session to work from and the fight at the front tightening by the race, qualifying promises fireworks. F1 Academy is back with a banger!
