Singapore is about to welcome one of Britain’s brightest young racing prospects. Megan Bruce will take the wheel of the TAG Heuer car in Singapore this weekend. The 20-year-old driver is currently competing in the GB4 Championship with reigning team champions KMR Sport. She will be stepping in for Avia Anagnostiadis, who is sidelined with a foot fracture.
From Caterhams to Single-Seaters
For Bruce, this drive marks another milestone in a meteoric rise through the ranks of motorsport. Despite only starting her racing career in 2023, she has already made a name for herself as one of the UK’s most promising female racers. After joining the Motorsport UK Academy Programme, which nurtures the country’s top emerging talent, Bruce has quickly become a name to watch.
Her racing journey began just two years ago in Caterham Academy, having previously only driven karts as a hobby with her father. What started for her as a passion for cars soon became a competitive pursuit.
Rapid Progression on Track
In her racing debut season, Bruce’s progress was rapid. From finishing P11 in her very first race at Cadwell Park, she was qualifying third by just her third outing. In her fifth race came a breakthrough podium at Snetterton, which cemented her reputation as a quick learner.
By 2024, Bruce was earning points across multiple categories. Among her standout achievements are a lap record in 2024 at Silverstone GP in the Caterham 270R, multiple top-three finishes at Donington, and a P2 finish at Knockhill. She also impressed in her GB4 debut, scoring two top-ten finishes straight away.
Stepping Up in GB4
The GB4 Championship is considered the first step on the single-seater ladder in the UK. The series runs alongside the prestigious British GT and GB3 Championship. For Bruce, the series is more than just competition; it’s a launchpad to the upper ranks of professional motorsport.

Reflecting on her rookie season in “slicks and wings,” Bruce told Racers, “From only starting racing last year in a Caterham, to racing an F4 car, it’s been a massive experience I’m forever grateful for”, she highlighted. “It’s been a step up for sure, I’ve had some great races, and some that I’ve taken a lot away from, mistakes were made, but every race I’ve learnt a load.“
Now in her second GB4 season with KMR Sport, Bruce has been showing strong form from rookie testing to placing top four at Navarra earlier this year. Singapore will represent a new challenge for her with the Tatuus F4-T421 car.
All Eyes on Singapore
Bruce’s F1 Academy call-up means she will miss the end of the GB4 season at Donington Park. Singapore will test her adaptability in new surroundings, but if her career so far is any indication, Megan Bruce will be ready to make a lasting impression.
