Starting on pole of the reverse grid, the Thai driver Tasanapol Inthrapuvasak made an exemplary race by leading from the beginning to the end. It gave more points for Campo in the championship as Tsolov is out of the top ten.
It was a good start from the poleman of the day Tasanapol Inthrapuvasak that managed to keep the lead. Behind him, it was close between Wurz, Naël and Ugochukwu, with the Prema driver having a mid start. Noel León went a bit wide into the grass as Van Hoepen and Domingues made contact. Alessandro Giusti ended up in the wall before the end of lap 1, after a contact with Ugo Ugochukwu. The French driver made his frustration about this outcome very apparent. In the meantime, the leader of the championship Rafael Câmara kept it clean and didn’t want to take any risk.
Battling in the mid field
Noel León tried to overtake on the inside of the chicane but went into the grass. A battle between two Prema teammates at the front saw Ugochukwu taking the advantage on Badoer. Brad Benavides cut the chicane thanks to a contact with Câmara, and had to give the position back. The AIX Racing driver later found himself battling with Ivan Domingues. Nicola Lacorte DNFed on lap 8 after a contact with Zagazeta. James Wharton was struggling to keep his fourth position, as a 2.1 gap with the third place didn’t give him the DRS. Ugochukwu tried to overtake Hedley, but the number 26 driver managed to keep his second place.
Câmara on a mission
León managed to overtake Taponen, and Câmara did the same a couple of corners later. On lap 12, the Brazilian decided to attack, and took the P10 away from Xie. Martinus Stenshorne took a 5-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage. As for Brad Benavides, he was told to box to retire on lap 14. Charlie Wurz was attacking and passed Wharton. Naël and León went wide and made contact, which resulted in the Mexican driver to spin and stop the car on track. The second safety car was deployed on lap 16.
With all the incident, Câmara managed to take P8. The green flag was waved with only one lap remaining. With very used tyres, James Hedley found himself in a very delicate position. Charlie Wurz took third place away from the British driver. Câmara tried everything to attack Boya, taking unnecessary risks. Inthrapuvasak won for the second time this season, Ugochukwu is second with an amazing race and Charlie Wurz is the last driver on the podium. Rafael Câmara only has to take seven points in the feature race to claim the title and be crowned the Formula 3 champion of 2025.
