Just two weeks after sealing the Formula E drivers’ championship with Nissan Formula E Team, Oliver Rowland joined The Girls Who – Motorsport for an exclusive interview—and the pride still shines through.

“I think it’s sunk in,” Rowland smiled. “I’ve realised what we’ve achieved… still yet to enjoy it properly because we got the two races here. But yeah—it’s a dream come true, he reflected ahead of the London E-Prix.

A Touching Moment

He also shared a touching moment with his daughter: “She keeps calling me ‘the world champion’ and telling me how proud of me she is… She reminds me daily. It’s really, really nice.”

Rowland has been a model of consistency all year. “We were fast all season,” he said. “I had a really good car. The team supported me really well. Of course, we had a few hiccups, but we were just consistent and focused.”

Pressure’s on Porsche

Even with the drivers’ title secured, Rowland is still hungry. “The pressure’s on Porsche,” he noted. “I’m going to enjoy the race and do the best job we can. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t—I’m still the drivers’ world champion.”

And after the final race? Ibiza. “We’re leaving 8:30 Monday morning,” Rowland confirmed, referring to the team celebration he had promised in Berlin.

And for Season 12? “My goal is to be double world champion,” he states without hesitation. “I’m quite motivated already.”
