The Czechia GP Moto2 race was filled with penalties, crashes and shock retirements. Roberts came out on top after a tight fight with Baltus while championship contenders Aaron and Moreira were both forced to retire. Ramirez’s good start crumbled after a double long lap penalty, and home hero Salač narrowly missed a top-seven finish.

Ramirez in Trouble

Ramirez got off to a lightning start — but his early advantage came with controversy. Debris fell off his bike during the starting procedure, prompting an investigation. He was later handed a double long lap penalty, which dropped him first behind local favourite Salač to P7, and then further back to P12 after serving the second lap.

Canet Crashes Out

Disaster struck for Canet, who crashed out solo — though Dixon was initially investigated for involvement. Canet briefly rejoined the race before retiring altogether. Moreira, another championship contender, followed suit just one lap later. Both riders’ exits mean a major blow to their title hopes.

Automotodrom Brno Catches Riders Unprepared

Pasini, the oldest rider in the entire MotoGP paddock, went down on lap 5, adding to the carnage. That same lap, Canet officially retired. Later in the race, with just three laps to go, newbie Pawelec and Fernandez collided, taking each other out of the race in a double crash.

Salač Loses Out on P6

As the chaos unfolded, Vietti made his move by passing Salač to take P6. Up front, Roberts reclaimed the lead by overtaking Baltus, who is now under post-race investigation for suspicious behavior during the starting procedure.

Podium Finishers

Roberts held strong under pressure and crossed the line first, with Baltus and Gonzalez joining him on the podium. Holgado and Vietti rounded out the top five. In the final laps, Ramirez clawed his way back to P7, just ahead of Salač, who missed out on a home-race top 7 finish by a fraction.
