Asked by The Girls Who – Motorsport whether he can look back at this season with any satisfaction, Jake Dennis replied:

“Yes and no. I think we’ve had some really strong weekends, where the pace has been very promising. We’ve also had some difficult weekends where it’s not been so good. So yeah, a very mixed year – a rollercoaster, as you say.”

He continued: “But yeah, there’s always positives to take from a year; [there’s] always areas in which you can improve. I’m generally a bit dissatisfied with the amounts of points I have, but I’m genuinely happy with the performance in qualifying this year. I think it’s been a real strength – a little more back to season nine level. We just need to improve a little on the racing side.”

With two more races to go in the 2024/25 Formula E season, Dennis remains hopeful about finishing on a high. “Honestly, if it’s dry, I think I have a really good shot at qualifying in the top two rows every time. Dry running this year has been really good. Wet running a little bit less, so we’re generally struggling a little bit more. Jakarta didn’t seem too bad in FP2 when it was wet, but yeah, ultimately, ideally, it’ll be nice if it was dry this weekend.”

Unfortunately, it seems the Briton may have jinxed himself — Saturday morning’s second free practice session in Berlin was cancelled due to heavy rain. Qualifying is still expected to go ahead, albeit with a significant delay.
