After the crazy weeks that was the Indy500, the INDYCAR series is not taking a break and going straight to Detroit for the 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix.
Last year’s race
The race had a lot of action in general and was a fun watch. During the race last year there were 8 caution periods for a total of 47 laps. There were 2 caution periods that included more than 2 drivers, the first caution period was lap 1 to 3 where there was a 7 car pile up in turn 3. The second caution period included 4 cars. Everyone could continue driving as no one had damage to their car. During the race there were a couple of more cautions for contact. The only car to DNF during this race was Christian Rasmussen, he had a mechanical issue on lap 24.
There were 6 different race leaders during the race with Scott Dixon coming out on top at the end of the race. The full top 10 last year was:

This year’s race
Like I said before, the official name of the race is, 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix. The race will take place in downtown Detroit on a temporary street circuit. The track is 1.645 mi / 2.647 km long and has 9 turns. The race will be 100 laps long. You can see the track map right here.
