Crawford had a lightning start, snatching the lead from Miyata, who began the race on pole. Meanwhile, Megeutounif’s Trident stalled on the grid, forcing the team to push him back into the pits for a manual restart. His hopes of a strong showing vanished before the race even began as he joined at the very back of the field.

Staněk made an impressive charge in the opening laps, gaining two positions to move up to P10. His former teammate, Verschoor, showed similar determination, climbing from P19 on the grid to P16. In contrast, Goethe struggled and slipped down the order. Further back, Mini and Marti both ran wide after contact, tumbling down to P20 and P17, respectively. Race Control noted the collision for further review, but no punishments came during the race.

Up front, Lindblad launched an attack on Miyata, attempting to dive down the inside. However, the ART GP driver defended aggressively, shutting the door on him. The battle continued for two laps, with Lindblad finally making the overtake stick and snatching P2. His aggressive push allowed Crawford to capitalize on the fighting behind him, pulling away and building a 2-second gap to the rest of the field.

Further down the pack, Maini began to struggle, losing a position to Goethe and coming under fire from Montoya, who was well within DRS range as well. Ahead of them, Beganovic made a mistake which sent him off into the gravel, gifting Staněk an easy pass into P9.

Tyre degradation began taking its toll on Miyata and Beganovic with eight laps still remaining. Their lack of grip was obvious as overtakes on them became increasingly easier, with both drivers tumbling down the order.

As the race progressed, a teammate battle ignited between Fornaroli and Staněk, showcasing some impressive wheel-to-wheel action from both. Suddenly, a yellow flag was waved for Cordeel, who had gone wide into the gravel. While attempting to rejoin the track, he lost control and spun the car around, facing the wrong direction. Fortunately, he managed to get moving again, avoiding a Safety Car deployment.

In the midfield, Maini’s struggles continued, with Montoya applying relentless pressure. A lock-up into the chicane almost cost him the position, but he barely held on. Shields and Benett also had a minor collision on the last lap, but both continued without incident and without punishment after race control’s review.

As the final laps unfolded, Crawford managed the pace, never coming under threat after his impressive start. Lindblad held onto P2, while Browning not only securing P3 behind him but also the fastest lap.

Behind the podium finishers, Martins, Dunne and Miyata held their positions as Staněk went wide and lost the last chance to fight his teammate Fornaroli for an additional point. The championship leader, Vershoor, retired from the race a few laps before the finish. Event then, he still holds the lead in the standings.
