Due to separate incidents in race 1, Ella Lloyd and Chloe Chong were given three-place grid penalties. As a result, Lloyd started race two at P7 and Chong at P17. Additionally, Alisha Palmowski and Chloe Chambers stated that a 1-2 team result was the aim as we awaited the start of race 2. The weather was gloomy and 83°F, with rain and thunder expected around 6 p.m., which could affect either race 2 for F1 Academy or the Miami GP for F1.

There is a lot of suspense and expectation as we get ready for race two to begin. Fans anticipate a fight at the beginning with Chloe Chambers, Maya Weug, Alisha Palmowski, Doriane Pin, and Ella Lloyd as formidable rivals. Turn 1 will be crucial for these drivers once the race starts, as has already been established. The rain started to fall and was rather heavy, with more to come. As the formation lap got underway, Lloyd in P7 was noted for a starting procedure violation. Although drivers were radioing the hard visibility and zero grip, Havrda also aquaplaned into the run-off but rejoined, and Felbermayr and Lloyd spun and were in the run-off but rejoined quite fine.

In essence, we completed multiple formation laps behind a safety car as we awaited the start of the race. Palmowski went on the radio, saying, “While a wet race could be fun, it is getting dangerous.” Felbermayr had another aquaplaning accident, but she returned without any problems. Abbi Pulling remarks that “continuing to do these formation laps instead of bringing the cars in is pretty silly.”

When more rain was predicted, the starting process was eventually halted, causing the race to be red flagged and vehicles to enter the pitlane. As they park in the pitlane, Crone radios that she is “soaking in the car.” According to initial predictions, the race would begin nine to ten minutes away, and the rain should shortly stop. Prior to the announcement that the race would not begin, Chambers last modified the rear wing to increase downforce in the pitlane.

As a result of the race being called off, Maya Weug remains ahead of standing, and the drivers are left dissatisfied with the race being stopped, but with a focus on the safety of the drivers and not delaying any other races, we will next see the F1 Academy race in Montreal for round 4.
