With its electric racing, net-zero carbon footprint, clean energy awareness, and encouragement of others to follow suit, Formula E has always aimed to set the path for a sustainable future. In a similar vein, PIF aims to promote sustainable expansion, employment growth, and financial diversification. Given their common objectives, it is not surprising that their collaboration would have a strong sustainable purpose that provides opportunity for everybody in pursuit of a more environmentally friendly future.
Together, PIF and Formula E are launching Driving Force presented by PIF E360, an educational initiative that emphasizes sustainability and STEM education. Launched in South Florida ahead of the Miami E-Prix, the initiative uses interactive workshops, experiential learning opportunities, and digital tools to excite and educate kids ages 8 to 18 about the future of motorsport. By bringing together the cutting-edge motor racing series Formula E, Extreme H, and E1 Series and fostering collaboration and cross-learning, the initiative advances PIF’s objective to improve greener electric racing through its E360 Partnership.
More than 50,000 students around the world will be benefited by the Driving Force initiative, which is the biggest increase since it began last June. The Driver Force is influencing the direction of sustainable technology and electric motorsport by motivating the upcoming generation of engineers, inventors, and sustainability leaders.
At Miami’s Keys Gate Charter School, the Driving Force program began with interactive seminars for as many as 90 students. The curriculum offers a comprehensive online learning program in addition to in-person workshops held throughout the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. This program is unique in its capacity to engage and educate STEM to youths, providing a deep look at sustainability and motorsport, thanks to a wide range of teachers and resources.
It is crucial to empower young people to build a sustainable future, and the best way to do this is to provide them with resources and opportunities that will help them succeed and foster their natural curiosity. The ultimate objective of the Drive Force program is to improve now in order to have a better tomorrow. It aims to assist today’s youth, as they will be tomorrow’s leaders.
