McLaren Racing announced a legendary comeback in World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2027.
After Ford announced their return a few months ago, it’s now time for McLaren Racing to announce their return in WEC. Already engaged in Formula 1 and Indycar, they will be back in Hypercar in 2027. With a Triple Crown in 1995 by winning LeMans, combined with numerous Monaco Grand Prix wins and an Indianapolis 500 victory in 1975, they are ready to take this challenge once more. With a simple sentence, Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, declared: “We’re back”.
They have not been present in Hypercar since 1998. More details about their entry should come right before the 24 Hours of LeMans 2025. Even though we don’t have any information yet, Zak Brown did mention previously that he would love to see Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri compete in the 24 Hours.
