No Feature Race for Formula 2

1–2 minutes

As we were all ready to begin this Formula 2 season on a high, rain didn’t agree with that decision. After an hour, the race was canceled, due to the unsafe conditions.

Heavy rain came to the party for this Formula 2 race. The race was about to start when a sudden delay was called. Richard Verschoor had an issue on the grid, making his car unable to start. This ten-minute delay was all it took for the rain to start pouring again, making poor visibility on track. They didn’t even make one lap under the safety car before a red flag was waved. Alexander Dunne’s Rodin car stopped while coming into the pits. He started to push his car but the stewards came to help him. All the other cars behind him had to stop their engine to prevent further issues so they all had to be pushed back into the pit lane.

The only action on track for a good thirty minutes was the attempt of the medical car to make a lap, but even that car was sliding in Turn 9 and 10. They tested some laps behind the safety car. After two laps under it, Oliver Goethe spun and almost put his car into the wall. This event and the poor visibility called the second red flag. As the drivers never raced under the green flag, points won’t be assigned.
