You always wanted to compete against your friend and see who would have the better Formula 1 team ? Then your chance is here because the F1 Fantasy Game is back.
It’s finally time to get your thinking hat out and pretend to be a teamboss, because the 2025 F1 Fantasy just started. Following the return of Formula 1 in Australia this weekend, you can now create your dream team. Five drivers and two constructors teams will composed it, and everyone competing this season can be pick. But there are a few things that changed, and new rules were added.
What’s new ?
If your driver competes in the Sprint race but is replaced before the Grand Prix Qualifying, you’ll be given a transfer suggestion so you can avoid “Not Classified” penalties. This suggestionwill still come out of your transfer limit of three for every race weekend, and is still a -10 point penalty if you exceed it.
Every constructor team will now also be able to gain points for pit stops during the Grand Prix (but not in Sprints). The number of points each team gets will be based on their fastest pitstop during the race. A 5-point bonus will go to the constructor who records the fastest pitstop of the race. If they set a new world record, they’ll score a 15-point bonus. This brings the DHL Fastest Pitstop Competition directly into the Game, keeping the excitement and chance for points with the right constructor duo high.
Penalty points for disqualifications will now be applied to the constructor’s team instead of the driver themselves. Disqualified drivers will not gain any points from the session they were disqualified from.
Why use F1 Fantasy ?
Even Though it seems easy to just choose the best from the 20 drivers for your fabulous team, the tight cost cap of $100m makes things a bit tricky. Giving you a feeling of the budget the teams have to work with, you do have to be careful about how you spend it. Create the strongest team sometimes comes with a bit of concession. Choosing the best and then compromising with the other drivers or building a solid midfield team. The funniest part is, for sure, creating a private league where you can compete against your friends every race weekend. The game also provides exclusive prizes in the official leagues. A new one has been introduced this year: players can win prizes at every Grand Prix, the player behind the top-ranked team of each race week will win a £100 F1 store voucher.
In the overall 2025 F1 Fantasy Global League, the top 3 players can win incredible prizes, such as two three-day grandstand tickets to a Grand Prix of choice in 2026 with a VIP experience, two three-day grandstand tickets to a Grand Prix of choice in 2026 and a £300 F1 Store voucher.
If you’re already a seasoned Fantasy league pro or a rookie team boss like some of us, we’re excited to see you compete against our team, so feel free to join our league!
